HINDU WISDOM

The word "Philosophy" is derived from the Ancient Greek - philosophía (compounded from phílos: friend, or lover and sophía: wisdom). To quote from WikiPedia, "Philosophy is the discipline concerned with the questions of what is the right way to live (ethics), what sorts of things ultimately exist and what are their essential natures (metaphysics), what is to count as genuine knowledge (epistemology), and what are the correct principles of reasoning (logic).

HINDU WISDOM

Post by tourbi » Sun Apr 20, 2008 5:05 pm

I see people who talk about religion constantly quarreling with one another. Hindus, Mussulmans [Muslims], Brahmos, Shaktas, Vaishnavas, Shaivas all quarrel with one another. They haven't the intelligence to understand that He who is called Krishna is also Shiva and the Primal Shakti, and that it is He, again, who is called Jesus and Allah. "There is only one Rama and He has a thousand names."

Hindu Wisdom

Dear Torbi,

That is very true. There is only one God or one Supreme Force. We give them different names.

Long time there were riots in India between Hindu and Muslim. It was in 1993. At that time a skit was shown no Television in which a Bug (played by an actor dressed like a bug) was interviewed. This bug drank the blood of so many celebrities from Bollywood. So the bug was asked whether he found any difference in taste of the blood of Hindus and Muslims. The Bug replied both are delicious. I cannot make out which is which from the blood.

When there is no difference in blood of both then how can you differentiate in the eyes of Lord. It is only we differentiate between us and give names of religion.

Love and magic have a great deal in common. They enrich the soul, delight the heart. And they both take practice.
