KORE CHANT

She changes everything she touches
And everything she touches changes.

Her name cannot be spoken, Her face was not forgotten;
Her power is to open, Her promise can never be broken.

All seeds She deeply buries, She weaves the thread of seasons
Her secret, darkness carries, She loves beyond all reason.

All sleeping seeds She wakens, The rainbow is Her token;
Now winter's power is taken, In love all chains are broken.

Everything lost is found again, in a new form, in a new way;
Everything hurt is healed again, In a new time, in a new day.

Bright as a flower and strong as a tree
With our love and with our rage,
Breaking our chains so we can be free
With our love and with our rage.

We are changers, everything we touch can change.
We are changers, everything we touch can change.

Change is, touch is, touch is, change is.
Change us, touch us, touch us, change us.

MOTHERS!

Even before she can touch its warmth ...
And even that is quite a wait!
Like a thought amorphous, an image unseen
Carried patiently for ten some moons
Until it can be expressed...
And the next phase may begin

The travail of love which then must
Seemingly last forever, YET:
Fortunate are human mothers ...
For their *defined* span of responsibility.
But the MOTHER -- that carries the Universe
For what must seem to HER like an eternity ...?

Love, Light and Levity ...

KORE CHANT

Torbi,

That is a beautiful poem, very meaningful, infact every line has a deep meaning and excellent rhyming and as for Rrji I believe he is a better Poet than Astrologer. He write his own poems.

Thanks Dada, but I am too undisciplined to stick to the rhyme (and according to some -- also to reason! ;-))

Hence I do not claim to write poety but as I have been once told: prosetry.

Hey Tourbi,

Perhaps you may like to read this one then that crossed my desk not too long ago. :-)
Context: It was a thank you note from a father in response to his child's words of appreciation on Father's day.

********************
Beneath diamond-hard veneers of arrogance often
Hearts of soft gold hide in shelter, beloved one
Oft a chance discovery or a flash of sudden memory
Leads to recovery and relief from thoughts dreary!

You may suck at couplets as I admittedly too at rhyming in meter
But your love heals, wish you were a screensaver on my computer
Life's thorns may try their best to turn you into a poet
But in my visions of you I have seen only a Golden Healer!

That's is really cool.  I hope the child has saved it in a cherished place.  What an incredible amount of love they share.  That is very special indeed!!! I'm even more honored that you shared with me. Image
