God according to Gospel of Thomas

Post by Azhar » Thu Jul 05, 2007 9:53 am

Where is GOD? According to GOSPEL OF  St.Thomous

The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, not in mansions of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there -- lift a stone and you will find me. These are the hidden sayings that the living Jesus spoke. Whoever discovers the meaning of these sayings shall not taste death

The Gospel of Thomas, is one that is not accepted by the church in general, but it is the basis of the Thomasine order, as a commentary it is probably the closest to Christian spirituality vs religion (which comes from the French word religare to be bound).
This is the full  Gospel of St Thomas
This is a bit about the history and background of The Gospel of St Thomas.
I enjoyed reading it ,as I would rather say that all religons carry spirituality in them, all we need is to give respect to them and seek through the spirit of it.
Salam and Regards

God is spirit.  It is what flows in all living things.  There is no pronoun (he, she, it) needed.
