I so far thought that being religious and being spiritual is the same thing, But now when its time to get married, the girls I try to know, they tell me that they are not religious but rather spiritual, What is the difference between being religious and being spiritual Please help understand the difference. We are body, mind and spirit in balance.  Each is vibrating with a different energy we manage to use and grow.

Spirituality is the urges within ourself for doing good and right and growing from all our experiences.  Spirituality addresses the spirit.

Religion can be a learned ritual process.  Religion can be where we express our spirituality, but is not the spirituality itself.

Religion helps us find God.  Spirituality helps us express God in our lives.

Religion will be the religious basis (religous) book of faith and reason Godly or Piety.

Spiritual will be a philosophical secular reason of spirit or older natural faith common.
