Palmistry Lessons Chapter No.11
After the palm the study of finger is important. We have four fingers and a thumb. The index finger is called Jupiter , Middle one Saturn, Ring finger Apollo and the smallest one is mercury finger.
The fingers are laterally bent and sometimes twisted on the axis i.e. at the joints. Laterally bent increases the qualities of fingers and twisted decreases the quality of that finger. If Jupiter Finger is longer than Apollo Finger then it denotes love for the qualities of that finger and if vice versa then love for the quality of Apollo Finger. Every finger has 3 phalanges. There are three places at which fingers bend. The top one where the finger bends is the first phalange, the middle one second phalange and the lowest one the third phalange. Again the 3 worlds of palmistry apply to these 3 fingers. The top world denotes intelligence, the midddle one the material instinct and the lowest one the animal instinct.
Whether the fingers are long or short or normal there is a method which will come later on but in short if the handwriting denotes the letters to be bold then normally it is short fingers and for a person with small writing letters it is long. This is almost always true. The fingers are to be compared to the palm to find out whether they are long or short.
In all hands you will find one finger standing erect and prominent and other fingers bending towards it indicating the nature of the person revolving around the most prominent finger. The nature represented by that finger leads. Again the base of the finger where it joins the palm is to be observed. If you draw an imaginary line touching the base of the fingers and if the line is horizontal and straight that is the best but that is hardly ever seen. So we talk a compass or just make an imaginary curve taking the base of the finger Saturn and revolve it in such a way that it makes a gradual curve like C. If the Finger Mercury is above this then its qualities are more positive, If apollo figer is above this and Jupiter too then again its qualities are more positive. If below this curve then the power of that finger reduces.
Normally you will find the mercury finger below this curve in many hands and in some the Jupiter finger may also be below this curve. This reduces the strength of that finger relatively.
Fingers are to be seen for smooth joints, knotty joints, Conic Tips, Square Tips, Pointed Tips and Spatulate tips.
Smooth jointed finger denotes a person who is impulsive and does not think before acting. Knotty jointed finger person has the current of thought coming into the finger from the tip and halting at the knot and the person contemplates and then act. Normally you see knotty joints on old persons and smooth fingers joints in younger persons.
The tip of the finger will denote the qualities of that person with respect to the that particular finger. If the Jupiter finger is square then the top phalange which denotes religion will denote practical religion, conical tip will show who is religious and pointed tips will show a person following the religion fanatically.
Then flexible and rigid fingers have to be taken into account. Flexibility will enhance the qualities of that finger and rigidity will reduce the qualities. Medium flexibility is best which shows a balanced person in approach.
The space between Jupiter and Saturn Finger is to be observed, space between Saturn and Apollo Fingers and between Apollo and Mercury fingers. The first one shows independent of thought, second one careless person , gypsy like attitude, third space shows Independence of Action.
The wide space between the Jupiter and Saturn Finger and Apollo Finger and Mercury Finger combined gives a balanced approach and this space observed should be when the person is in a natural pose of he does not know his fingers are being looked at and he is sitting normally tense free.
The above will show how much knowledge can be gained from reading the fingers. Each phalange of each finger will have its own meaning. If the top phalange of Apollo finger is longest and prominent in that finger it gives love for Nature and risk taking ability i.e. gambling tendency. If the Head Line is joint at the beginning with the Life line then it shows a person who takes calculated risk.
Any questions please let me know.
