unexplained marking on the mount of sun.

Recently i came upon a palm which bore a peculiar marking,i saw a line from UPPER MARS mount to the mount of SUN/APOLLO.By research I found out that its called a POORVA PUNYA REKHA.
BUT,I also saw a peculiar marking/symbol/sign, where the line ended on the sun mount,sort of an INCOMPLETE INVERTED TRIANGLE or it also seemed like a FLOWER WITH OPEN PETALS.
If anyone has the knowledge kindly share.
