5. Personal Responsibility

The word "Philosophy" is derived from the Ancient Greek - philosophía (compounded from phílos: friend, or lover and sophía: wisdom). To quote from WikiPedia, "Philosophy is the discipline concerned with the questions of what is the right way to live (ethics), what sorts of things ultimately exist and what are their essential natures (metaphysics), what is to count as genuine knowledge (epistemology), and what are the correct principles of reasoning (logic).

5. Personal Responsibility

Post by spiritalk » Mon Jul 26, 2010 1:10 pm

When we learn to take responsibility for ourselves and all our foibles, we are living totally free of the blame game with others.  We can not be caught up in the trials and tribulations of others.  There is only one person we can fix/change/grow and that is self.

Your life has joys and pains - all self inflicted by choices we make for ourselves.  Of course we all have the personal responsibility - it is just a question of recognizing for what it is and using it.
