Past Distractions:

To be free is to understand how your distractions are created as a result of your own Conditioned Mind and that these created distractions are the very thing that blocks you from your peace of mind...

While alive if the expansion of a deeper understanding of life is to continue, the distractions that don’t allow this understanding must be identified. One such distraction is carrying the past around, but not the past of just years gone by, how about the recent past of a week, a day, an hour, or five seconds ago. Have you ever said to yourself on a Friday that you’re glad this week is over because it was the worse week ever. Now that it’s Friday you can't wait to go to the bar and just unwind by having a few drinks. How many times throughout your life has this scenario been played out in your head? I ask you this, when it is Friday and the work week is complete, what does any previous day of the week have to do with right now? If you weren't conditioned to carry the past around you would be free to live in the present.

You are the only one that creates the distraction that doesn't allow you to live in the present. The past only burdens you if you choose to carry it. A previous day has nothing to do with what is occurring in the present. Seeing this is a key in continuing the deeper expansion of your life. All this nonsense in your head about the past has no reality to it. It’s not to ignore that the week was difficult, but the more a story is held onto about how difficult it was, the more of a burden it is, and then when you need something to use to unwind, that just further distracts you from the present. This distraction causes so many problems because it blocks out the ability to be with the reality of the present and the present reality is this; the past isn't real, it existed once, but it doesn’t t exist now. Not even one minute ago has to be carried into the present unless you allow it to be so. Find out one distraction that you use in your life that blocks you from being present and learn to be free of it. After all that is the only thing your distractions distract you from, your present where freedom simple is...
