Symbolism for the number 2?

For the last six or so months, I have been encountering 2's on a regular basis; in things I buy, things I see, etc. and would like to know if it has any special meaning. Thanks. earthfairy

the number two 2 for me represents self reflection and the attribute of nurturing self and others. it also represents modesty and self control.

I consider it a representation of communication (dialogue) and possibly romance.

In the tarot deck the 2 of any suit represents energy between two things. In the 2 of cups it represents attraction between two people. In the 2 of swords it represents communication or conflict between two people. In the 2 of wands it represents intinal action between 2 people and in the 2 of pentacles it represents the potential of a partnership or earthily matters between people.

There was an advertisement on the TV at one time, I think it was for a car rental.  We're number 2 so we try harder.  Number 2 can be a very competitive number in that way.
